As 2023 ends, the Montana Southern Baptist Women team is busy planning for next year. 2024 looks to bring many exciting and fresh changes.
The first event will be at MPact in March. During the affinity session, we are inviting anyone who wants to experience a taste for missions to see and feel a little bit of Zambia. We will have a modified version of the International Bible Study developed by the National Women’s Missionary Union. There will be treats, activities for different age groups, and information available for you to take back to your home church. Acteens (ANY girls who are 12-18) will have an afterparty on the first night of MPact with food, crafts, a mission lesson, and just plain fun! So please, parents and church leaders with young ladies, bring them so that they can learn about missions and see what they can do in their own backyard!
The next event is April 3-10, 2024, when the team, and anyone else who would like to participate, will be traveling to Warrensburg, Missouri, to attend the Missouri Women’s Missionary Union Annual Meeting. The MSBW has a state-to-state partnership with the MWMU. We plan to help with setup for the meeting, prepare a meal for their team, and do some mission-type work in the Kansas City area after the meeting. More details will be on our website, msbwonline.com, and our Facebook page, Montana Southern Baptist Women.
June is always busy with the Annual WMU meeting. This year it will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana. Executive Director Tami Park and President Mandi McCraw will be attending the meeting.
There will be one major change this year because of conflicts with events and scheduling. The team has voted to hold MPower right after the annual Montana Southern Baptist Convention meeting, also called Refresh. It will be held at Big Sky Fellowship in Helena on October 3-4, 2024. Plan on staying an extra day for a true missions celebration to see what God has been doing in Montana, across North America, and across the Nations!
Don’t forget the many offerings that MSBW helps to promote. Besides Lottie Moon this month and Annie Armstrong at Easter, remember the Montana Sent and Reach Montana Missions Offerings. Montana Sent Offerings are collected at all three of our state meetings and go to our international missionaries that have ties to Montana. Currently, we send gifts to nine different families at Christmastime. This year’s offerings totaled $4,589.00. The Reach Montana Missions Offering comes from our Montana churches and is used 100% in Montana. It assists our pastors and planters who have medical emergencies, helps churches reach the lost with evangelism outreaches, and helps our many churches with their needs.
All of these offerings can receive funds throughout the year. Just reach out to either of these two team leaders to find out how to give:
