I’m writing this to you from my new home in Maryland. It was very hard to leave Montana but the way the Lord has provided, it’s obvious that He has been leading us through this transition. Fortunately, the MTSBC Administrative Team has asked Denise and me to return to be with you for Refresh on October 2-3. We’re meeting at The Bridge Church, at 608 Jackrabbit Lane in Belgrade. Denise and I are really looking forward to seeing all of you probably one last time.
Not only would Denise and I like to see you, but there are better reasons for you to attend Refresh this year. For one thing, you’ll get to hear the latest update from the search committee as they seek my successor. I know they’ve been working and praying hard to find God’s man. I hope you’ve been praying for them during these months, too. If not, you would really be helping them if you started!
In addition, you’re going to have a chance to hear from Dr. Paul Chitwood, president of the International Mission Board. Dr. Chitwood will be with us on Thursday and will bring a word from the Lord in the evening session. Missions are what the SBC is about. You should be there to hear from the man who is leading our international missions work. I encourage you to bring your church’s missions leadership, too.
