About
The Bournes are replanting a church in a diverse neighborhood close to downtown Billings known as the South Side. The Bournes have loved and lived in this neighborhood since 2010 and began to dream of doing ministry here immediately after moving in. God closed many doors until opening the one He had planned. It is perfectly located, within a 5 minute walk of 3 schools, as the Bournes have a specific passion to reach families in need of the hope of the gospel. Jeremy and Veronica are raising four future men: Kaden, Ezekiel, Hezekiah, and Levi.
On January 1, 2018, a group of members from LifeWay Church of Billings joined Bethel Baptist Church to become one as a church replant. Bethel Baptist Church is a diverse community seeking to proclaim the glory of God in the South Side of Billings, MT. Real People, Real Worship is what we’re about. We strive to be a place where people can connect in real community. We want to be honest about our struggles as we share life together and point each other back to the cross. We also believe that worship is a foundational part of humanity. We believe all people are worshipers by nature and that our greatest problem is idolatry, that we worship the created instead of the Creator. Our goal is for people to come to God through Jesus, abandoning their idols to worship the only one who is worthy. We believe that real worship transforms every area of our being and will be evident in our lives. It’s when we find our identity in real worship that we have the ability to be real people.
Financial Support
Our church is located in a low income community so the people who attend do not have much to give. What we receive from local giving is not nearly enough to provide for the regular, ongoing expenses of doing ministry here. We rely on the generosity of other Kingdom minded believers in order to be able to do all that God has called us to here in our neighborhood.
