Every now and then it is good to just reflect on what is going on in church planting in Montana. Here is just a snapshot of a few things that have taken place in recent weeks.
Church of the Rockies, Red Lodge – COTR recently had 122 in attendance for worship on a Sunday morning! Pastor Lee Merck is excited about the continued growth of this church.
Capstone Church, Helena – Capstone Church celebrated two salvations during worship service on Sunday, March 11th! There is nothing more exciting than seeing people come to Christ!
Bedrock Church, Bozeman – Seventy people participated in Serve Sunday on March 25th. Bedrock took to the streets of Bozeman to serve their community in various ways, such as cleaning bathrooms in businesses on Main Street, taking a meal to a local fire department, and picking up trash on the MSU campus. Others participated in prayer walking and hanging door hangers to invite people to church.
Expedition Church, Livingston – Expedition will have a preview service at 10:00 a.m. on Easter Sunday. Planter Darryl Brunson plans to launch weekly public worship services Sunday, May 20th at 4:00 p.m.
Vision Tour – In February, the MTSBC Church Planting Team hosted a couple for a vision tour the two days leading up to MPact Montana. The couple was introduced to several areas of ministry and got to meet with some of our planters and pastors. In Great Falls, three pastors joined the tour and shared their heart to see Great Falls reached with the gospel. The couple then stayed and had more opportunities to interact with staff, pastors, and families while enjoying the training and atmosphere of MPact Montana. Please pray for this couple as they discern God’s call to Montana.
Continue to pray for our plants and our existing churches as they all continue to reach their communities with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
