When Pastor Chris Litton gathered men from Big Sky Fellowship last fall, he cast a vision for them to become trailblazers and to surrender their lives to Kingdom priorities. He began with simple Gospel witnessing tools to equip these men to begin spiritual conversations with confidence, to share their faith story compellingly, and to communicate the Gospel with clarity and conviction. These men began to practice these tools with one another, growing in their fluency, and then with their friends, neighbors, co-workers, and family members. These experiences sparked a movement that has propelled this Gospel Witness training across Montana. From Wolf Point to Miles City and Boulder to Livingston, these brothers are teaching believers how to share their faith. The materials are simple and the interactive nature of the training builds confidence. They love taking this training on the road and they have one question. Who’s next?

Joseph Hildogo has a zeal for the Lord that is contagious. He is ready to go. He explains, “I don’t need to have a degree in theology to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. ANYONE and EVERYONE can share the Good News.” Another member of the team is Daniel Lange from Boulder Valley Baptist Church. He trains people for a living as a culture coach for his company, but nothing excites him more than seeing believers sharing their faith. He says, “People often share the same excuses of not knowing what to say or how to say it, but this training targets those excuses. The tools allow them to use their own words to fulfill what Jesus has called them to do in the Great Commission.”

The Gospel Witness training is rooted in dependency on the Holy Spirit through prayer and is designed to break down relational barriers through personal engagement. It will help believers discern those who are open and ready to receive more, as people may display a red light, yellow light, or green light. It also calls one to be courageous in calling people to respond with simple questions that draw the net.
At the core of the training are biblical principles and key passages that shape one’s mindset. From this foundation, believers will learn to share their story in 15 seconds to begin spiritual conversations. They will also learn to share all the elements of the Gospel using the 3 Circles format with lots of conversations and practice to increase proficiency. Then, we hit the town to engage people in real life and come back together to report on our experience. Are you ready to get started?

Pastor Chris believes, “God can use anyone to turn a town upside down.” He expresses, “Our desire is to put gospel seed in the hands of as many people as possible and watch as the Lord creates a movement of multiplying disciples across Montana.” You can reach me at dhales@mtsbc.org for more information and to organize a training or contact Pastor Chris at chris@bigskyfellowship.org to hear more stories. Every believer has a powerful testimony of being brought from death to life. Let’s proclaim it!
