CASPER, Wyo. – The Wyoming Southern Baptist Mission Network (WSBMN) elected Rondie Taylor as the convention’s state missionary and executive director on June 5 by a unanimous vote of the of the executive board.

“He has served Wyoming well over the last several years and I am excited to have him in the role as state missionary. His thoughtfulness, humility, leadership, and strong passion for the ministry of Wyoming help him provide excellent vision for the future. There could not be a better man to follow Quin in this position,” said WSBNM president, Ed Tharp.

Taylor will assume his new role September 1, succeeding the retiring Quin Williams.

“I am excited about the fact that God has led our search team, executive board, and Rondie Taylor together to become our next state missionary/executive director,” said Williams.

“Rondie has proven to be an exceptional servant and leader in Wyoming. I believe under his leadership, the Wyoming Southern Baptist Network’s brightest days lie ahead,”

Taylor served as pastor of Living Hope Church in Green River, Wyoming, a church he planted in 2016. During his tenure he led the church to reach its community while becoming financially independent. Previously, Taylor served in churches and ministries in both Wyoming and Montana.

“I am honored to receive this position and to continue the work of reaching Wyoming with the gospel,” Taylor stated.

“It is a daunting task, but I am confident in the mission that God has given Wyoming Southern Baptists and I look forward to serving these churches as they fulfill the Great Commission,” said Taylor.

Taylor is a graduate of Corban University in Salem, Oregon and received a master of divinity and doctor of ministry from Gateway Seminary in Ontario, California.
