All the Workers You Need

Our Missouri Partnership kicks off officially on January 1. From the wonderful reception we have already received, I believe we can expect a very dynamic relationship with Missouri Baptists. When Lee Merck and Steve Fowler attended the annual Missouri Convention meeting a couple months ago, they were wonderfully welcomed. There was all kinds of interest in the work of our Montana churches.

I know it may feel early to be thinking about your summer outreach and maintenance needs, but now is the time to start lining up teams to come assist you. They need to make plans and raise money to come here. If you’re looking for help with VBS, Backyard Bible Clubs, community canvassing, painting and renovating, or any other ministry needs there are churches in Missouri ready to come serve with you.

Indeed, Missouri Baptists are already looking for Montana partners. We have more than 40 Missouri Baptist churches who have already given us their contact information and told us what they’re ready to come do. You don’t even have to search for ministry partners. You just have to go to www.mtsbc.org, click on the link for MBC churches on the front page, look at the list, find a church that is ready to come do what you need, and reach out to their listed contact person. If you don’t see a church on the list that is prepared to do what you need done, or if one of our other churches already lined up the church you wanted, we’ve also provided a place online where you can tell us what you want ministry teams to come help you accomplish. Just click the link for MTSBC churches and give us some information. We’ll share that with the Missouri Baptist Convention and they’ll help find a team.

Again, go to www.mtsbc.org and look over the list of Missouri churches ready to come this summer or fill out a request and we’ll share that with Missouri Baptist leadership. It’s that simple. You can have ministry teams this summer.

I know we’re still dealing with COVID restrictions, but those won’t last forever. My encouragement to you is to prepare for a full summer, like other years. That way, when things open back up, you’ll be ready to hit the ground running. If things are still shut down, at least you’ll know that you were ready and you didn’t lose the summer when you didn’t have to. If ministry teams are part of your summer needs, I urge you to begin lining them up now.

I know it will be difficult to get some of our folks back on track. Inertia is a hard thing to overcome, but we must continue to try to regain lost ground and time and encourage our folks to pick up whatever they laid aside and redouble our efforts to reach the lost and make disciples. Eternity hangs in the balance for people all around us. I’m very encouraged by the way so many of our churches found new ways of ministering in this past crazy, unexpected year. Things are about to open up again. Let’s be ready when they do.

If any of the MTSBC team can assist you with anything, please let us know. We’re here to serve you. Let’s make 2021 a record-breaking year for reaching the lost and pointing people to Jesus.
