Have you heard about Lat45 Adventure Ministries? No? Well, let me tell you about this great organization!
Lat45 is a 501c3 nonprofit based out of Billings, MT, with the goal of fulfilling the great commission as stated in the Holy Bible and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with youth. This is accomplished by providing young people, from all walks of life, an opportunity to experience the beautiful backcountry of Montana. These experiences are used both as vessels to deliver the good news of Jesus to those who need to hear it and to disciple those who have already given their lives to Him.
Our philosophy is that getting kids out of their normal environment and away from the modern conveniences of the world will allow them to be more open to receive the good news God has given everyone. While on their adventures, participants are challenged physically, mentally, and spiritually. They come away from their trips with an appreciation for the outdoors and for wilderness conservation.
One of the most incredible things about Lat45 (aside from sharing Jesus with youth!) is that we offer our trips free of charge! Not only that, we provide all the food, tents, sleeping bags, packs, and leadership needed for a successful trip. The only things the participants need are personal clothing/footwear and a will to dig deep within themselves to do hard things.
I bet you’re thinking, “How can they do that?!” To be honest, we wonder that, too, sometimes! We operate purely from donations and our annual fundraiser each spring (which will be in the fall this year, due to COVID). Time and time again, we are blessed by faithful, generous donors who continue to support us. It is by the grace of God that we are able to run this incredible ministry – we are truly grateful!
