Montana is Going

What an exciting year! Everywhere we go in the state, pastors are telling us of new outreach ideas they have. They’re also sharing what they’re doing with us so we can share them with others. I believe we are moving into a very exciting time.

If you go to the Go Montana forum, you’ll see that we are already beginning to post stories about outreach events our MTSBC churches are involved in. We’ve had churches take mission trips, hold Easter events, provide hunger ministry, and many other activities. If you’re looking for ideas, you can find all kinds of them in the Go Montana forum and on each page of the Go Montana web site. There are people already doing many of the things you want to do. Just email them or email your MTSBC staff and tell us what you want to do.

There may even be some money to help you do something new to reach people. The MTSBC has money set aside for Go Montana outreach events and we have thousands of dollars available through the North American Mission Board for evangelism. Don’t let money stop you from going somewhere new, telling more people about Jesus, and serving people in new ways.

Also, looking ahead, please keep in mind that we will be holding Crossover Kalispell on Saturday, October 5. This is a great way for you to train your members to share their faith and get them some practical experience, too. Last year’s Crossover Helena event was a great time. We had about 25 people go out around Helena to talk to people about the Lord and invite them to area churches. It’s painless for you, but very possibly life-changing for someone else.

Be watching the MTSBC web site for our Crossover Kalispell announcement and the beginning of registration. Part of Crossover includes online evangelism training that your folks can take even before Crossover. The MTSBC will even pay for a significant part of the online evangelism training costs, which are minimal to start with. If you haven’t offered evangelism training to members of your church in the last three years, you really need to do this. Let us know how we can assist you with equipping your members to share their faith effectively.

So, what is God telling you to do, where is He telling you to go, what is He telling you to start, who is He telling you to reach? The MTSBC is here to help connect you with whatever you need so you can do what God is telling you to do. Montana is going. Are you going with us?
