For three summers, the Church Planting Team has hosted Vision Tours for those considering ministry opportunities in Montana. The tours have been open for those interested in planting a church, pastoring, sponsoring a church plant, bringing mission teams, etc. These tours have been very successful in engaging potential ministry partners with our existing planters and pastors and casting the vision for what ministry looks like in The Last Best Place.

In 2018, we are planning on hosting two different Vision Tours. Preceding MPact Montana, we are inviting those interested in serving in Montana to come and attend a Vision Tour and then stay to experience one of the most beneficial meetings we have in our state each year.

A Vision Tour is a two-day experience designed for pastors, church leaders, and potential church planters who are making decisions regarding personal or church involvement in church planting or missions in Montana. While here, attendees will experience the following:

  • Explore ministry fields in-person to gain a better understanding of what it means to plant healthy churches in Montana.
  • Meet church planters, experience the challenges they face in their mission field, and explore potential partnerships with them.
  • See priority communities that are in need of churches and planters.

Vision tours are a great way to see God connect people to church planters and Montana communities. They are informative, fun, and often sobering times for pastors and leaders who come from afar to get a sense for the lostness and need for the gospel here. They are great times for our planters to share their stories and meet new friends who can make an eternal impact through prayer, service, and support.

The date for the next tour is February 27-28, 2018. We will begin in Helena and travel to Butte, Great Falls, and possibly the Bozeman area. Attendees are encouraged to stay for MPact Montana, March 1-2, and meet our staff, pastors, and planters, as well as, engage in the training and a special orientation session for those interested in next steps of ministry in Montana.

The tours are not limited to those outside the state. If you are interested in being part of this tour go here to register.
