Crossover Kalispell is Coming

On Saturday, October 5, we will hold our second Crossover event. This time we’ll be reaching people in the Kalispell area. Named after the same event the Southern Baptist Convention has been holding for years now, Crossover reminds us of the vision the Apostle Paul had one night. Luke tells us: During the night Paul had a vision in which a Macedonian man was standing and pleading with him, “Cross over to Macedonia and help us!” (Acts 16:9). We all know how important it was that Paul responded to that call.

So, today, we continue to respond to the call to “cross over” to our neighbors and help them by telling them of the love of God in Jesus. This year, Easthaven Baptist Church is hosting the event. This is a perfect opportunity for you and others in your church to get some great evangelism training and some practical experience that you can put to use for your church for years to come. Crossover Kalispell will start at 9:00 am on Saturday, October 5. We’ll meet at Easthaven Baptist Church, have some training time, eat lunch together, and then we’ll break up into teams and go out into some of the surrounding neighborhoods for a couple of hours. Each team will be assigned some streets to cover and have some information about one of our nearby churches they can put into the hands of people. They’ll also have the opportunity to share the gospel.

I hope you don’t miss this opportunity. To help prepare for this event, and to make sure everyone is equipped to share the gospel, we are providing online evangelism training for everyone who signs up to participate in Crossover Kalispell. Just register for Crossover Kalispell at the One Conversation web site, www.oneconversation.org. You’ll find the October Crossover Kalispell event listed when you click on Regional Workshops. This training normally costs $75 per person, but we’ve negotiated a reduced rate of $25 for everyone who will participate in Crossover. To make sure money doesn’t prevent folks from getting this training, the MTSBC is prepared to reimburse the $25 fee to the first 100 people who register for Crossover, complete the training, and request reimbursement.

We all want to see more people come to faith. Crossover Kalispell provides a great opportunity to help get the training and the experience to be the soul-winners God has called us all to be. If you have any questions, please feel free to give me a call, 406-252-7537. I’m praying that the Lord gives us a great harvest of souls as we do our part and share the gospel.

It’s a pleasure and blessing to be serving here with you in this beautiful state, among so many people who need the Lord. I look forward to seeing you in Kalispell and joining with you to share Jesus with our fellow Montanans.
