Strengthening Your Discipleship Ministry

Darren HalesAll Enews, Strengthening Team

At the center of the mission of each local church is making disciples.  One of the roles of the Strengthening Team is to equip and resource churches in this pursuit.  Our partners at LifeWay recently provided training for discipleship leaders from across the MTSBC.  These ministry specialists sharpened their skills in their area of ministry and networked with other leaders in their field to better serve you.

Adam Burt needs no introduction.  He leads our Next Gen Team on our MTSBC staff.  His desire is to train student leaders in your church to multiply your disciple making capacity.  We all want to lead well in student ministry and Adam can help with biblical principles and practical advice. Lesli Frost serves in Kalispell at Easthaven Baptist Church.  She has been doing Preschool ministry for 20 years.  It’s important to engage children at a young age with a love for God and a love for His Word. She is a volunteer with the MTSBC and she is available to share best practices and point you to ministry links that will resource you. [email protected]

Michael Laird serves at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Billings.  His passion for kids is evident and he leads his team to serve young hearts with excellence.  As a volunteer with the MTSBC he also wants to equip you to better communicate the Gospel and teach the fundamental Truth of Scripture.  He can help you think through how you recruit and develop the ministry volunteers that are needed in your Kid’s Ministry. Adam Painter has been a part of Church at the Gates in Missoula for 10 years and he knows the value of biblical community.  As the Pastor of Adult Discipleship, he leads missional communities to grow into mature believers that love and serve others.  As a volunteer with the MTSBC, he wants to help you develop an effective discipleship strategy.  He can guide you in how to coach small group leaders and train them to multiply.  [email protected]

The key to strengthening your discipleship ministry is multiplication.  Over the next year, our Strength Team wants to multiply our Team.  We want to find local churches who have a heart to encourage, exhort and equip local churches in the next town or county.  We are all on the same team and we need to rely on one another to be more effective at our main mission, making disciples.  Our hope is that we also teach you how to multiply discipleship leaders at your local church, so that our capacity to fulfill the Great Commission is expanded exponentially.
